【綜合報導】美國聖地牙哥市一名女法官，上月判一名男子謀殺罪成，重囚53年，但接著兌現承諾，為犯人與他的女友證婚。

迪斯博文（Danne Desbrow）2003年謀殺一名男子，但因證據不足，他一直消遙法外。直至最近當局接獲一名證人舉報，才能提出控訴。

另一方面，迪斯博文早在16歲高中時與一名女子交往，然而當女友意外懷孕後，兩人便失去聯絡。多年來，他的女友一直尋找其下落，希望為孩子找回生父。今年1月愛侶終於重遇，但迪斯博文已身陷囹圄，等候審訊。

不過他仍決定向女友求婚，並獲首肯，負責審理案件的女法官得悉後，同意替兩人證婚。上月17日案件宣判，迪斯博文被判囚53年後，死者家屬離開法庭，一對新人的家屬則留下來，出席婚禮。在法官證婚下，兩人終成眷屬，現時迪斯博文正考慮就刑期提出上訴。
