　　《MarketWatch》周三(10日)引用政治媒體《Politico》1篇報導指出，若美國聯準會(Fed)主席伯南克(Ben Bernanke)選擇在明(2014)年任期結束時下台，歐巴馬前經濟顧問桑默斯(Lawrence Summers)為取代伯南克的領先候選人，並非是副主席Janet Yellen。

自去(2012)年秋天起，Yellen就被視為該職位的最大競爭者，並獲得傑出經濟學家及Fed觀察家的讚揚，但目前仍不知總統歐巴馬的看法為何。

《Politico》是引述親近歐巴馬的民主黨籍高層人士消息來做成該篇報導的。
