線西鄉長蔡麗娟的兒子黃盈彥和女友林玉筑是大學班對，林玉筑放棄台大研究所，繼續和黃盈彥在中興大學植物病理研究　　　所同窗求學，兩人原訂去年結婚，無奈好事多磨，經仔細擇日，本月12日將完成終身大事。

線西鄉臨海，除了漁撈養殖，物產有限，黃盈彥的父親黃弘耀10年前擔任鄉長期間，推廣種植黃金蕃薯等旱作，為農民增加收入，成效不錯，黃盈彥研究所畢業後，放棄高薪待遇，跟隨父親腳步返鄉務農，運用所學研究適合鄉民種植的農作物。

蔡麗娟說到準媳婦林玉筑，不禁眉開眼笑。「真是緣份，從宜蘭嫁來彰化。」蔡麗娟說，林玉筑為了當線西媳婦，辭去北部的工作，到黃家洗手做羹湯。

黃弘耀、蔡麗娟原擬去年初讓愛子黃盈彥完婚，因黃弘耀的母親罹病辭世，婚事延後，幾經挑選吉日，決定本月12日中午12點，在和美鎮新黑貓餐廳為黃盈彥舉行結婚典禮。
