除紅線區外 花蓮火車站全面禁菸

為了擴大無菸區域，花蓮火車站的門口，一大早就有勸導人員舉著牌子，呼籲民眾從3號開始，切勿在花蓮火車站紅線區域內抽菸，要抽菸的旅客，必須走到車站對面的車道分隔島上，才可吞雲吐霧。

新規定上路，大部份癮君子都願意都願意配合，不過也有少部份老菸槍認為不太公平，尤其是新設吸菸區的標示完全不清楚，外地遊客很容易觸犯規定。

花蓮衛生局表示，花蓮火車站是台灣觀光的重要交通樞紐，但菸害防治法規定，遠遠不如鄰近國家，尤其是陸客團幾乎走到哪抽到哪，影響空氣品質和其他遊客權益，擴大禁菸範圍，希望可以提升觀光品質。

衛生局也提醒民眾，依照菸害防制法的規定，不只警察或是衛生單位的稽查人員才有權舉發，一般民眾要是見到有人在禁菸區域內抽菸屢勸不聽，都可拍照存證請警察到場處理，包括陸客都必須向其旅行社清償相關罰金後，才可離境。
