【短片】谷歌台灣資料中心落成　投資額177億

【蕭文康／彰化報導】Google（谷歌）今宣布台灣資料中心正式投入營運，並舉行落成典禮，同時宣布台灣資料中心長期發展計劃的總投資金額將增至6億美元(約177億元台幣)，較去年動土前宣布的3億美元倍增。
 
Google台灣資料中心位於彰化縣彰濱工業區，佔地15公頃，目前已招聘逾60名員工，並持續招募人才中，而該資料中心為目前Google在亞洲所設置最大的資料中心。
 
由於亞洲的網路用戶數約佔全球上網人口的5成，並以驚人的速度上升，為因應這股勢不可擋的網路需求，Google因此宣布將台灣的資料中心長期發展計劃總投資額倍增。
